      Thanks Neil, they are a really good starting point for detailing and weathering. As you say good value, I’ve seen them as cheap as £7.50 recently, with replacement wheels and buffers that’s a pretty good jumping off point for about £12.00.

  2. I don’t think the supplied buffers are especially bad in truth. I like the fact you can kinda ‘re-position’ the brake lever.

      The buffers are ok, but a bit spindly, LMS (Dave Franks) B001 pack has the correct buffers and they make an easy fix. The brake gear I think is pretty good overall, I’ve not done one with pinned brakes, but it’d make an interesting variation.
